Villa Dubois Guest House is conveniently located just 10 minutes from UChicago Hospital. The space was extremely clean, comfortable, and secure. The full kitchen was equipped with all necessary items, making it easy to prepare meals and save on dining expenses. The self-check-in process was straightforward, although I recommend ensuring you have the check-in procedures clear before arrival. The hosts were accommodating and responsive, providing all needed information quickly via email and text.
The remote management may lead to some initial confusion with check-in.

while I appreciated the cleanliness, being forced into a cramped, shared bath situation was absolutely ludicrous. I was shocked there was no complimentary upgrade or gift for all my troubles. The communication was a disaster, confusing texts here and there, but I just couldn’t quite connect the dots, and it ruined my luxurious stay expectations.

Perfect budget spot!
Loved my stay! The place was so clean and chill. The kitchen was a huge bonus for saving some cash on meals. Just a heads up, the location’s kinda quiet, but it’s not super close to attractions. The check-in was a bit odd too. Still, I’d recommend it for the price!

The space was comfortable and family-friendly, with a cozy living area where my grandson loved lounging around after our day out. The full kitchen was a lifesaver, helping us save money on meals and enjoy some cooking time together.
My kids wished for more hanging space for wet towels.

decent stay but lacking some quietness
The location was quite good – the number 3 bus was just a short walk away, making it easy to get to the city center. I appreciated having access to a shared kitchen. it certainly saved me some money on meals! The owners communicated well, providing clear instructions for check-in, which made my arrival smooth.
However, I found the shared bathroom situation to be cramped at times, which affected my overall comfort.

The room I stayed in was comfortable, but I felt like I was in a constant battle with the noisy other guests. I didn’t appreciate the extra shared spaces where it was too cramped for my liking.
